Topic/Title Adjectives
NRS Level: Low Beginning
The learner will be able to:
 Recognize describing words for people, animals and objects.
Objectives:  Identify sizes, numbers and colors.
 Describe a noun through simple sentences using A and An.

Procedure: Warm Up by singing “Hello song ”and other daily routinary activities.

Motivation: Show and Tell. Have student describe the object found in the box.

Teach common adjectives and show more objects. Let pupils repeat the
Presentation: adjective big, tall, small, short, fast, slow, little, clean, dirty and long.
And sing an adjective song.
Circle time
Then Play memory game “What’s Missing”
Guide them to describe the missing object using A and An.

Practice:
Guided Practice/ Group Work
Have a group activity of 5 teams. Have them find and group the
pictures according to their assigned adjective. Give the mechanics and
group work rules before starting the activity.

Application:

Cloze Gap:
Let students read the adjectives in the word bank and write the
correct adjectives to complete the sentence. Then guide students to
read the sentence. Elicit the adjective used.
Evaluation:

Spin the Wheel activity: Let the student describe the picture using
“It’s a” and “It’s an” and continue the game until all children are able
to recite.

Other:
Possible Materials: Video presentation, Adjective Word Cards - one set per pair or group
People, animals, objects, foods, pictures (e.g. from magazines, brochures
etc.) Spinning Wheel, Magic box, objects like stuff toy, flower, car etc.
board with markers / chalk
