My issue topis was : rituals and ceremonies define a culture . groups n people in a society will not know who they are
wihtout the help of these .
Argument was that population of an island increases 100,000 every summer . In order to reduce the number of accidents involving
mopeds and pedestrains the council must limit the number of mopeds being rented from 50 per day to 30 per day . another island
which reinforced this has been successful in reducing the number of accidents by 50% .

ya hi took gre yastrday. got 1420 < qunt 800 vrbl 620>
2. if rs+r+s is even
_______________________________________________________________
This is to sri kiran quants problem on 14 dec. and the solution is here
A school consists of 60% of Masters Degree students in yr 1995.If the total no .of students increased by 20% and no. of Masters
degree increased by 75% .What is the % of increase in no. of graduates from 1995 to 1999.
In the above question the problem might be at the 75% if ,The masters degree students have increased from 60% by 75% in the
question then the answer will be,
Consider that the students are =100 (it will be clearly 100% ok)then
Masters degree are 60% => 60 students clear then
So, the total increase of the studs is 20% => 120 studs (definitely)ok
Here comes the problem i.e the question is the percentage Increased from the 60% and by 75% then total 15 % increase then =>
0.15*60 = 9 studs has increased in the masters degree.
So, the total of masters degree studs increased to => 60+9 = 69 stud
so, now spit it that is(Total studs - Masters deg studs = remaining) 120-69 = 51 studs and these will be definitely the left of
graduate students of the college
so, 51 of 120 is = 15/120 * 100 = 42.5% increase in graduate students ( if the increase in percentage given in the question is w.r.t
the year 1999 to that of 1995 percentage).
did u have the option of 42.5 % or near that will be the answer buddy. srikiran

Quant- first thing that i want to tell u is this community works.i had around 6 to 7 question in quant from this community.
so here r some
1)(0.375)y=1 then y^2-1=?
2)square with side 60 was given.and circle was inscribed it it.we had to calculate fraction of area which is outside circle to the
square.(in other words (area of square - area of circle)/area of square )
ans.60 * 60 - 30 * 30 * PI
-----------------------
60 * 60
= 4 - pi
--------
4
3)how many numbers between 1 and 2000 inclusive are perfact square and cube?
4)DI was simple but had very tedious calculation.but by looking at the options you can directly ans.Like i had to calculate %of
USA's population(was around 77,235) as a % of brazil's population (around 16,732).and options were a)20% b)10% c)5% d)0.1%
e)0.2%
so u can roughly calculate it.coz 16,732/77,235 comes around 1/5 which is near to 20%.
so plz do not literaly try to calculate %.it will cost u a lot of time.
ans.20%
5)A boy buys some x paintings at $20 each and buys y paitings at $25 each.x<y.
