Aim of the Exploration: (what is it that you hope to accomplish or what is the
question that you will answer by completing this IA?)

Rationale for the Exploration: (include personal interest and a justification for
the necessity of this exploration and its results)
Type of Exploration:

Check one: ____ investigation/modelling task ____ exploration of maths topic

If an investigation/modelling task, outline the experiment that you plan to conduct

and/or how you plan to gather your data. If an exploration of a maths topic, list the
information sources that you plan to research to aid your exploration.

Mathematics to be Applied:
Although, at this stage, it is very difficult to know exactly what mathematics will be
applied and used in your IA, you can certainly begin to consider and plan for it. For
each Syllabus Topic below, discuss how mathematics from that topic could be used.

* Be very detailed in this section by clearly outlining the exact mathematics that you
believe can be applied. To do this, use the very helpful course topic Mind Maps.

Technology:
List the technology that you plan to use to enhance your such exploration, such as

in your exploration.

List possible visual representations (graphs, tables, diagrams) that will be included
in this exploration created using the technology listed above.
