ONLINE VIDEO

Jared is one of the more popular students in his classroom. In class, he is always nice to
everyone, and he is always prepared. He always does his homework on time, and he even
offers to help other students if they are struggling. Lots of students like him because he is
helpful, and he never causes any problems inside class or at school. Recently another student
in Jared’s class named Santiago noticed some videos of Jared on YouTube. Santiago didn’t
recognize the profile or username from the videos, but it was Jared’s face in the videos.
Santiago started watching some of the videos because he was curious. Santiago thought some
of the videos were a little stupid, but he also thought some were funny, so he kept watching
more. But then Santiago watched some videos where Jared making fun of specific people in
his classroom. He didn’t know if all the information in the video was true or not, but a lot of the
information seemed very personal and specific, Santiago loves watching YouTube videos, but
he felt a little awkward watching Jared’s videos because he knew the people that Jared was
talking about.

BULLYING

Frank is in second grade and is normally a happy child. He has a loving family and some good friends
at school. But lately Frank has been frustrated and worried about his life at school. There is a student
in his class named Jacob who has been bothering Frank. It started with just some little annoying
things like Jacob sitting in his spot or taking his erasers and hot giving them back. But then it got
worse when Jacob started taking his food in his lunchbox and kept tripping him in the hallways. Jacob
also has started calling his mean names during recess. Frank is worried and scared that Jacob’s
actions and behavior will get worse and worse, and he might try to really hurt Frank. Frank hasn’t said
anything to his teacher, friends, or family because he is scared that Jacob will get madder if he finds
out that Frank tattle told to someone. Frank doesn’t know what he should do, and he feels nervous
and scared when he´s in the school.

answer according to your point of view.

Case 1: Julieta is your friend from university; you have been knowing her for two years
now, and she told you that she had a boyfriend who was not so nice to her. Yesterday,
when classes finished late, he called her angrily to tell her that he was not going to pick
her up, that he was tired of her, and that he preferred to stay at his house. Very sad,
Juliet began to cry, telling you that it was not the first time she had done it.

What advice would you give Juliet?

contradicted his parents. Gabriel, his cousin, has always been very different from Felipe; while
Felipe studies, Gabriel goes to a party. One day Gabriel asked Felipe to go with him to buy a
gift for his mom. Felipe agreed to go with him, but he forgot to tell his parents; they both spent
their time at the mall, so Felipe was late to his house. Her parents, very worried about her,
scolded Felipe without even letting him explain what had happened.

Do you think that Felipe's parents acted correctly? Why?
