Congratulations! We have reached the end of another successful academic year. It is vital that students
take a pause during this time to reflect on the great amount of personal growth and development achieved
over the past few months. This growth and development is due to your consistent work, dedication and
drive for success.

As you look forward to enjoying a much needed break this summer, be sure not to completely neglect your
future planning and academic commitments. Pursue relevant opportunities for internships and work

24 July | MDX Summer Camp
Join us in Dubai for an MDX Summer Camp designed to give you a
glimpse into what life could be like as a student following their dreams in
the heart of the city. From 24th July onwards you could be starting a new
adventure at Middlesex University Dubai, meeting likeminded peers from
all over the world, and utilising our world-class facilities like the robotics lab, fashion lab, and our brand-new
VRx lab! You’ll also be able to relax and hang out in our Student Hub, which has a dance studio, music
room, arcade and gaming room and pool tables, while taking brain-stimulating workshops on campus!

Canadian University Dubai is hosting an exclusive 3-day


Summer Camp Workshop, specially tailored for Grade
11 & 12 and Year 12 & 13 students. These hands-on
experience workshops will provide students with the
opportunity to explore various fields of study.

Workshop Details:

Programme

The University of Cambridge Judge Business School


(CJBS) developed the CJBS Summer Programme to give
pre-university students around the world a headstart in
developing the skills that are essential to leading
successful academic, professional and personal lives.

Despite CJB’s title, this Programme is in no way limited to


students interested in business-related degrees or
careers. Whether they are aspiring lawyers, doctors,
engineers or anything else, students will find that the Key
Skills they develop during their time in Cambridge are integral to achieving their goals.

The summer programme is overseen by Professor Christoph Loch, the school’s esteemed former director.

10 to 28 July - different one week options | Creative Summer Camps

We are pleased to announce that our School of Mathematics & Data Science is hosting a Data Science
Summer Camp ’23.

Join us to:
● Gain a fundamental understanding of data science subjects
● Conduct experiments on data visualization and chatbot implementation
● Explore the application of mathematics in data analysis
● Bridge the gap between theory and practice through engaging in educational activities

Eligibility:
● High school students aged 17-19 years (11th grade onwards)
● Students with a STEM background

Dates:
● Session 1: 24 to 28 July, 2023
● Session 2: 31 July to 4 August, 2023

Location: Emirates Aviation University, Dubai Academic City

24 - 28 July | Brescia at Western University

Do you know students going into 10, 11 or 12 in the


upcoming school year who are interested in honing their
leadership, self-awareness, communication, and critical
thinking skills before university? If so, we have some great
offerings this summer.

Opportunity 1: Brescia Bold Microcredential Course


This is an 8-session online asynchronous course. Students are welcome to register at any time and can
complete the course at their own pace. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a Certificate of
Completion.

Opportunity 2: Brescia Bold Summer Leadership Institute


This is a one week, in-person, on-campus session where students will be able to meet participants from
around the world. We have both a commuter program (for London and area students) and a residential
program available. Students registered in the residential program will stay on campus in Brescia’s luxurious
residence, enjoy delicious meals prepared by our Executive Chef, and participate in afternoon and evening
programming.

Upon completion of the program, students will receive a Certificate of Completion and university course
credit at Brescia. The university credit is transferable to other institutions at their discretion.

21 to 26 August | Medicine summer school in the heart of Europe!

Is your ambition to become a doctor and

We offer a unique experience to high


school students who want to see what it
is like to study Medicine in the beautiful
student city of Brno in the Czech
Republic. If you are interested in studying Medicine and would love to do so in Europe, Brno is the perfect
place for you! By attending the Masaryk Medical Summer School 2023, you will not only see all the perks
you can gain when you apply to our university, but you will also gain the experience of student life and get
to live a week in a vibrant student city.

From the 21st August to the 26th August 2023, we will show you our modern university campus inside out,
and give you access to the most modern Simulation Centre in Central Europe, where you can try out how
our students are taught and get to experience what being a doctor feels like. Moreover, you will get access
to our university hospital, where students have practical classes from their third year, and you will get to
meet some of the experts in their field, who are also teachers of our General Medicine programme.

What is the price?


● The week costs 25 000 CZK per person (est £900/$1100)

Fall 2023 | Columbia University’s Pre-College Programs

Columbia University’s Pre-College Programs include year-round extra-curricular programs for high school
students. Through our Immersion program, students in grades 9-12 have an opportunity to try their hand at
subjects normally reserved for college: Constitutional Law, Investment Portfolio Management, Introduction
to Material Science and Nanotechnology, and Introduction to Architectural Design and Theory, to name a
few. By getting a taste of these subjects while in high school, students can save time and energy by honing
their college interests at a young age.

We are now accepting applications for our fall online Academic Year Weekend program. Here is a
link to our most recent fall flyer which will give you all the relevant dates and costs for that program. The

Wharton Global High School Investment Competition


Registration is open for our annual Wharton Global High
School Investment Competition AND we are kicking off Round
1 of our annual Comment and Win Contest, which runs through
August 11!

Requirements
● Teams must be comprised of students (4-7) from the same school.
● Teams are required to have an advisor and the advisor must be a teacher/educator at the school.
● Open to any active high school student, age 14-18
● Trading runs for 10 weeks (September 25 - December 1, 2023)
● Teams manage portfolios of $100,000 in virtual cash
● Two competition deliverables: mid-term review and final report
● Winners are selected on the strength, creativity and articulation of their strategies and competition
experiences, not on the growth of their portfolios.

The top 10 teams from the semifinals are invited to present their strategies to a panel of judges during a
special global finale event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S. in April 2024.
