1. Write an article entitled “The best way to travel” for a travel
magazine, in which you compare travelling by plane and by train.
Give your own opinion and also include the views of other people.
2. Write review for a travel website about a time you visited a new
place. Give your impressions of the place you visited and the people
you met. Say if you will visit this place again.
3. A friend of yours is planning a holiday in your area. Write an email
to them telling them about three places they must visit while they
are here and giving reasons for your choices. Say how long they
need to spend in each place.
4. You recently won some prize money in a competition. Write an
email to your friend saying how much money you have won and
how you won it. Tell your friend what you have already bought with
some of the money and what you are planning to spend the rest on.
5. Write an article for your school magazine about the benefits and
drawbacks of students having part-time jobs while they are at school
/university. Give your personal opinion and say if you will look for a
part-time job this year.
