EDUC 150 - MODULE 3

Task 2. Sharing Your Google Classroom, Give andGet Feedback, Then Answer
the Questions Below
1. Did any students in your group (from the Wiki) not provide feedback before the Due Date? If so,
please provide their full name(s) below – please put their full name (first and last name). This will
help me when grading.
Catherine Benson (I have not received any work from her)

Michael Kendall- (he emailed his Google classroom information and said thanks to me for providing feedback
about his classroom but had not provided me any feedback.)

2. Post the feedback you received on or before the deadline for feedback responses regarding about
your Google Class below. Hopefully you will have at least a couple of feedback responses but
provide whatever responses you got about your class before the deadline – see course calendar for
the due date. Simply copy/paste the feedback you received and past it below.

Logan White: The Quiz was straight forward but some sense of introduction would have been nice with an
assignment. The quiz on theme was nice and your setup of the classroom worked effectively. I wish there was
some material or instruction to reflect on. Overall groovy.

Trent Jones: your quiz was very easy to access, but I think you should have also assigned a regular assignment,
the setup for the two are very different. There is not a lot of information in your class, for example, I gave the
2
class code, subject, and room number (which I just made up) in the information area for the class. In a real
teaching environment, those may be found useful for students to have available.

3. From the feedback you received, did you gain any insights? In other words, did you learn anything
from the feedback that you use when you have your own Google classroom?
The thing I learned is that it was easy to access the quiz, but I did not upload the assignment correctly and I got
feedback saying that the assignment would have helped them understand the quiz better. Two people have said
that having material to reflect on would have helped them. So next time I am going to try to upload the
assignment correctly, so they have all the materials they need to succeed

4. Did you experience any problems while inviting students to you view your class and getting
feedback? If so, what problems did you experience?
- I did not have any problems while inviting students into my class. The only place I had a problem
was when I was ready to submit the quiz to the class. I was brought to a page where I had to enter
their emails again, so I did. I realized that was wrong and found the right way to release the quiz to
the class.

5. From the video(s) tutorials above, what are some different ways you can invite a student to join
your Google class?
Some ways to invite students to the class is by manually doing it, by going to people in google Classroom and
adding in their Email. Another way is if they were in class, I can pull up a class code for them to type in or a QR
code for them to scan.

6. What is the stream feature in Google Classrooms? Do a quick Google or Youtube search to find
out about this info if you don’t know.
The stream Feature is where teachers can make announcements and reminders to the class they can also put
materials needed for class assignments in the stream feature.

7. What kinds of things can you do in the ‘class settings’ area? Not sure? Watch the first tutorial
again and/or play around with the settings button in your own classroom.
Students can click the class button in their toolbar to see all the courses they are taking. There are areas
students can go to ask questions to the teacher about specific assignments. They can also direct their questions
to specifically the teacher or the whole class.

8. What potential difficulties could you foresee if you were asked to set up a Google Class for your
own students?
Some difficulties I could see is not uploading the assignments correctly. There are some students who wouldn’t
join the class so it would be harder to get them the information for the class. I think the process of joining the
class will be repetitive because there are students who won’t listen.
