This machine comes in the form of a box with dimensions (hxwxd)
500x400x260mm for a total weight of 18kg.
The box allows continuous analysis of the CO, O2 and CO2 content of a gaseous mixture and to
control alarms according to the analysis.

1.2 Applicable standards and documents:

- Low voltage EN 61010-1 safety rules for electronic measuring, regulation and
laboratory equipment.
- Customer order.

2 Functional description of the analysis box.

2.1 General description:
This cabinet has legs for wall mounting. In the lower part of the box, there is a customer terminal
block used for the electrical connection of the remote elements as well as for the 240Vac power
supply of the system.
The box in the basic version, allows continuous measurement of the CO, CO2, O2 contents of a
gaseous mixture.
A programmable automaton with display and keyboard is used to adjust the various alarm
trigger thresholds and to calibrate each cell from the automaton. Relay outputs are used to
control remote alarms and to enslave different systems when thresholds are exceeded.

2.2 Description of the different sub-assemblies:

2.2.1 CO, CO2, O2 gas detection system: Micro JAZZ

This CO / CO measuring system2/O2 is designed for:

- Verification of CO / CO contents2&O2in the air of a compressed air network.

- The inlet is provided for the connection of a pressure between 1 and 10 bars
- Measurements of CO and O2are carried out using electrochemical cells The
- measurement of CO2is performed by an infrared analyzer. The life of the
- electrochemical cells is two years.

Nevertheless, periodic verification of the is necessary (recommended frequency: 6 months).

The Thresholds and Scales of measurement are as follows:

GAS LADDER THRESHOLD

CO 0-100ppm 5.0ppm
CO2 0-3000ppm 500ppm
O2 0-25% 20.0%

The alarm thresholds are defined by default when applying the "Default
configuration" function.
However, they can be changed via the "Threshold configuration" menu.

The programming algorithm of this Control unit carries out continuous self-
checking. The flow conditions in the measuring cells are constantly checked.

- The response time of the measuring cells is approximately 40 seconds at 90% of the
scale.
- The response time to reach the default thresholds is:
- less than 15 seconds for electrochemical cells.
- 7 seconds for the CO Analyzer2.

INSTRUCTIONS MICRO JAZZ

Push the button to move to the settings screens for each sensor.
The CO2 sensor gain is not adjustable from the screen, only at the cell level.

DEFAULT VALUES
The parameters appear in the following order: (offset = Zero)

CO Offset 3200 (by default)

Offset O2 3277 (by default)
CO Offset2 6144 (by default)

CO savings 131 (by default)

Gain O2 52 (by default)
CO2 gains (not configurable)

SETTING VALUES

The parameters appear in the following order:

CO threshold CO alarm high threshold (10 ppm by default) O

Threshold O2 alarm low threshold2(20% by default) CO alarm
CO threshold2 high threshold2(500 ppm by default)

4.6 Timer settings

Push the button to switch to the screen for setting the initialization time of the
central. This time cannot be set below 60 seconds, which corresponds to the
start-up time of the cells.

When you are on this screen, all you have to do is enter the desired time with the numeric keypad,

then press

Press the anti-beat to switch to the delay time setting screen

button.
This delay is used to block the alarm output, as well as the horn in the event that a gas is at a
value that passes from one side to the other of the threshold too quickly and too regularly.
This prevents the horn from sounding too often.

Set the desired time using the numeric keypad. Press to validate the
period.

To push on to return to the main screen.

6.1.3 Operation test procedure:

The electrical and pneumatic connections must be made before starting the
correct operation check tests.

Step 1 : Power up the box by switching the QF1 circuit breaker to the
Walking. If the box cannot be powered up, check the 240V power supply
to the box.

2nd step : Wait until initialization time has elapsed.

Step 3 : Once on the main screen, check that there is no fault indication of
cells and sensors. If a fault indication is present, press the key

to acknowledge the fault. If the fault is still present, it is necessary to check

the power supply and the calibration of the faulty sensor.

Step 4 : Check the flow value in the distribution clarinet for the cells. If the
flow rate value is not around 30l/h it is necessary to adjust it by
turning the flow limiter screw.
