Product design and development Design and development of steering & suspension system for ON and OFF road vehicles. -With emphasis on Customer voice through QFD, Product concept using 2D & 3D software, Design reliable products based on DFMEA, Design verification through CAE and Optimization through DOE. Involving day to day activities of drafting and modeling using CAD tools CATIA V5 , Pro/E , SOLIDWORKS & AUTO CAD for mechanical design of components & assemblies and release of drawings for new product development.

Conducting Finite Element Analysis for steering & suspension system parts. Working with cross functional team in managing engineering changes that calls for customer requirements / in-house process improvements. Customer visit for design related issues and meetings. Value engineering & value analysis As a member of VA/VE team, I contributed my knowledge for weight reduction through design optimization. Carry out functional analysis to improve the value of functional parts and eliminate non-functional parts, thereby providing a cost saving of 2.0 Million INR. Benchmarked TRW steering suspension system design to develop a new steering system for Indian Customers. Feature incorporated from benchmark was steering Sealing technology.

Successfully implementation of serviceable ball joints for tractor segments.

Priority valve was designed using Reverse Engineering concept. Priority valve working principle, circuit diagram, assembly and part level detailing, testing parameters were arrived.

Database for all steering assembly & similar part.( Benefit of this data base lead time to design selection parts reduced from 10 hours to 2 hours ).

Customer need for reaction type hydro static unit for off road vehicles was identified .Concept design to proto development was carried out and proved on field.

Role & Responsibilities Amalgamation Valeo: Product design and development as R&D Project team member Design and development of transmission system for Nissan vehicles ( XH5 / XH5 DR / XH2 ). -With emphasis on Customer voice Product concept using 2D & 3D software, Design reliable products based on DFMEA, Design verification through CAE and Optimization through DOE. Development of proto sample for projects & monitoring the product after 6 months of SOP Customer visit for design related issues and meetings. Support to resolve issues related to quality & customer complaints Carry out warranty analysis & identify root cause of failures and upgrading the product with in the project period. NVH study of transmission system . Design verification/validation Provide appropriate support to product test lab for conducting product verification & report. Quality systems & procedures QRQC & Quick Response PDCA with Valeo 5000 approach. Formulating Work Instructions for design methods.
