Instruction: Please indicate when the deviations should be fixed and by whom as well as when the
deviations were completed.

1 Supervisor / Subordinate Sup of Machinery to be appointed
2 Only trained and competent operators to use generators
3 No visible damage or cracks to the casing
4 Lifting handles in good condition
5 Cable & electrical connections must be effectively insulated
6 Plugs must be in good condition and correctly wired
7 Start & Stop devices to be fully functional on all generators
8 Cover plates (guards) must cover all moving parts (pulleys / fans)
9 No fuel leaks from parts or pipes
10 Large generators must be earthed accordingly
11 Generators must be switched off during refuelling
12 Where possible generators should be secured (vibrating)
13 Generators must be kept clean and free from dirt / grime
14 Control panels on large generators to be clearly labelled
15 Continually run generators to be housed to limit noise pollution
16 Fire extinguishers to be present at generator operations
17 Beware of generator fumes in confined areas
18 Generators to be inspected monthly
