SKILL-
Recogni zing letters and letter sounds.

PREP-

Print the alphabet popsicles on cardstock and laminate for extra durability.

Cut al ong the dotted lines to separate the letter from the picture, forming two halves for each one.

PLAY-

To play, try a few letters at a ti me since 26 letters and 26 pictures may be a bit overwhel ming for students.

Line up the alphabet halves of the popsicles face up on one

side of the table, then place a picture popsicle halves on the
other side face up.

Students take turns picking up a letter hal f, saying the name

and sound, then searching for a picture that matched.

When the match is found, place the halves together to make a

whole popsicle.

Play continues until all of the popsicles are made whole!
