Adviser: Mariane Joane G. Osorio

This descriptive study aimed to investigate the level of implementation of RA

11589 in Sto. Niño, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro, as perceived by residents. The study

employed a survey questionnaire distributed to 81 residents, measuring their level of

implementation with the BFP's modernization initiatives. Descriptive statistics, such as

frequencies, percentages, and means, were used to analyze the data. The results revealed

that residents perceived the level of implementation of RA 11589 positively, with high

levels of implementation. However, the study also identified areas for improvement, such

as the availability and accessibility of fire protection equipment and the need for more

comprehensive fire safety education. The study's findings provide insights into the

current status of BFP modernization implementation in Sto. Niño and suggest areas for

improvement that can inform recommendations to enhance the implementation of RA

11589 in the study area and similar localities, ultimately contributing to improving public

safety and mitigating fire-related incidents in the Philippines.
