Kurt Cobain, was an American singer, musician and songwriter, known for having

been the singer, guitarist and main songwriter for the grunge band Nirvana.
Nirvana's greatest legacy was grunge, which is a subgenre of rock, one of the most
popular music genres of the 1990s.
The grunge lyrics deal with themes such as the phenomenon of suppressing the
personality, the search for freedom or social marginalization.
People found grunge, a genre that gave an identity to an entire generation and
Cobain was probably the highest expression of this trend worldwide. He is
remembered today as an icon.
Kurt Cobain is the greatest representative of the grunge style of the 90s and his
personal style, carefree, relaxed and rebellious, inspired millions of people who
began to wear striped shirts, jeans full of holes and big glasses
Cobain is considered an icon and voice of Generation X, he has also been
considered one of the most iconic and influential rock musicians in the history of
music.
Cobain believed that the record industry manufactured pop stars who have nothing
to say and turn them into a model of shallowness for an entire generation.
His best known song, "Smells Like Teen Spirit", marked the beginning of a change
in the music scene, away from the dominant genres of the eighties, glam metal and
"radio friendly" pop.
Smells like teen spirit became so successful that it managed to rank as song
number nine of the 500 best songs of all time and number 10 of the best songs
with guitar, both categories selected by Rolling Stone magazine.
His music was against all that, being a raw and honest expression of his fears, his
doubts and the ideals that he considered important. And that became a call for
young people back then.
His music is still valid because it was born from the urgency to express a way of
living, feeling and thinking.
What I like about Kurt Cobain was his love for music, that his support, shield and
protection was always the music, which also identifies me
The value of musicians is the influence they leave on others, not only to listen but
also to inspire and create
