POVERTY: ALL ABOUT SURVIVING

By Alfred Reyes

Millions of people and communities all over the world are impacted by
poverty, which is a chronic global problem. It is a multifaceted issue that
includes limited access to healthcare, education, and basic necessities in
addition to the lack of financial resources. One of these millions of people
who experience poverty is Rosita, a 68-year old woman who sells pagpag or
left over foods coming from garbage to survive the struggling-every-day life.
This brings a big question to the public: To what extent can you do things to
survive in this cruel world?
It is amazing to think how creative and street-smart the Filipinos are -
cooking and selling the left over foods from garbage just to afford their basic
needs in their lives. It is fascinating to think that on to what extent they can do
those things. Many people, if they watch the video, would think that what they
are doing is gross. They may overreact, get mad, sad, funny, etc.

Life is already hard to live with. Probably, it is harder for people who are
experiencing poverty - poor, less fortunate, or deprived of having a
comfortable life.
