PIMC of sanctioned project of DPR mode project sanctioned to PI SKAUST


Mirgund on “Sericulture-An Income augmenting and Employment
Generating Venture for tribal Farmers of North Kashmir” held on 04 th
May 2023 at Main Campus of SKAUST Mirgund Baramulla.

The undersigned attended the PIMC meeting of the DPR mode Project on 04 th May
2023 organized at College of Temperate Sericulture, SKAUST –K Mirgund on the
sanctioned DPR mode Project sanctioned to PI SKAUST-K Mirgund vide sanctioned
Letter No: NBJKRO/FSDD/DPR Mode/839/Sericulture SKAUST-K Mirgund/2021-22
dated; 19th January 2022. The project was Started on 01st Feb 2022.

Following are the works completed till 31st March 2023:

1. Identification of the area of operation for the Sanctioned DPR project in district
Kupwara and Baramulla. The area identified by the PIMC committee includes
Sogam Tehsil Kupwara and Uri Tehsil of District Baramulla.
2. The Beneficiaries in total of 100 each from District Kupwara and Baramulla was
identified by the PI along with the District Sericulture Officer.
3. Establishment of 20 Low Cost Rearing huts had been established, 10 each in
district Baramulla and Kupwara.
4. Training on Establishment of rearing Huts was given to the sericulture farmers
and demonstration rearing huts were also established in the sub zone office of
Sericulture at Uri Baramulla and Sogam Baramulla.
5. 20 days training was given to the 100 tribal women on Cocoon craft in tehsil Uri
Baramulla and Sogam Tehsil District Kupwara, in which DDM NABARD also
visited for field level monitoring in Jan 2023 and Feb 2023.

The PI is submitting the claim in the PIMC meeting as per the action plan and work
done in the sanctioned Project as below: The description is as

The Agency had in total received an amount of Rs. 7.48 lakhs as advance amount after
acceptance of the Project and submission of 01 st Claim. The action plan set by the PI was
discussed and the PI require further funds to implement the other parameters of the
project in the 02nd Year of the project. The PI had done an expenditure of Rs. 7.15 lakh
till 31st March 2023. An amount of Rs. 0.33 lakh is pending with the PI for the 02 nd Year
in the Project.
The Agency had submitted the action plan for the 02 nd Year and request for the release
of Rs. 4.27 lakh which will be used during the second Year project.

DDM is accepting the claim of the PI and is recommending to release the rest amount of
Rs. 3.94 lakh (Round Rs. 4.00 lakh) to the PI for completion of the action plan set up by
the PI during the PIMC meeting for the Second Year.

The DDM is thus recommending to release the 02 nd claim of Rs. 4.00 lakh (Four Lakh
Rupees) in SKAUST Account as per PIMC recommendation and Action plan set for the
02nd Year till 30th November 2023.
