As an intern with the Adnoc Offshore firm, I'm working on a production analytic project in the

oil and gas sector, focusing primarily on calculating barrels of oil produced and square cubic feet
of natural gas. I aim to develop a reliable system to collect, store and manage data for easier
viewing, to achieve effective decision-making. Therefore, data analysis techniques, computer
applications, analyses, and software interaction with human-computer skills will be used based
on lessons learned from B.S.I.T.

My first objective involves analyzing the company's production methods and data sources. I am
working with teams of experts, including engineers, production operators, and database
administrators while gathering requirements and determining whether any I.T. problems or
bottlenecks were present within the existing business processes. Also, through using my
analytical and critical thinking skills, I have evaluated the assigned work processes and identified
areas where I.T. solutions could improve work effectiveness. That is, evaluation of data
collection techniques' accuracy and usefulness, analysis of an existing database structure, and
assessment of security, legal, ethical, and professional responsibilities related to handling
production data.

I've worked with the team to design a data collection system that uses an automatic sensor and
real-time monitoring systems to generate accurate information about production to meet Phase
One objectives and demonstrate the use of I.T. knowledge and skills. The focus is on applying
I.T. skills and techniques to production analytics within the oil and gas sector. The stress will be
on showing the capability of working with a range of teams and identifying information
technology challenges, carrying out critical inquiries, communicating efficiently, and proposing
I.T. solutions to improve efficiency in the workplace. The report will enhance my ability to
improve communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and ethical and social responsibility when
solving complex I.T. problems.
