Section- A

Project Readiness Program (PRP) is the program offered by Talent Transformation to all campus and off-
campus fresher’s. The broad objective of PRP is to equip fresher with the necessary knowledge and skills
that will enable them to start working on customer projects.

Corporate Induction – CI is the first phase of PRP. It takes you through the exciting world of work culture in
Wipro. During the first week, you would undergo Corporate Induction, leadership connect, Mandatory
eLearning courses & EMERGE training which enables the freshers to have a smooth transition from
Campus to Corporate world.

Section – A1 STEP PLUS Assessments:

STEP PLUS is a 60-minute English language Assessment, which assesses grammar, listening, reading and
speaking skills. During the first week of joining, STEP PLUS assessments would be conducted.
WIMS & SIM category of fresher’s who have already taken Step+ before joining, would not be scheduled for
Step+ assessment.

Based on the CEFR language level, each fresher is assigned the level as per the below table.

Communication trainings are ILT / VILT, planned batch wise and schedule is shared with the fresher. The
fresher has to manage both technical & communication training in parallel. Fresher must ensure
completion of daily assignments during the communication training.

It is mandatory to attend all the days for communication training as per the given schedule. In case the
fresher is absent for any session they would be removed from the ongoing batch.

Category 1 – Level 7 & above - No communication training


Category 2 – Level 6 - 15 hours / 1 week
Category 3 – Level 4 & 5 - 30 hours / 2 weeks
Category 4 – Level 3 & below- 60 hours / 4 weeks

Post completion of communication training for category 2 – 4, Step+ assessments would be re-scheduled
and it is mandatory to complete it.

Section B - Technology Readiness Training (TRT)

The objective of TRT is to facilitate freshers to get equipped with adequate technical skills to work in projects
Consequently, the TRT program is organized into different technology streams, which are specific to a Global
Business Line (GBL) or Strategic Marketing Unit (SMU). You will be attending the TRT training in the assigned
stream.

Duration : 6 - 8 weeks

 Methodology : Instructor Led Training (ILT)


 Day wise PBL assignments to be uploaded in the Code Completion tracker of PBL portal which would be
evaluated by faculty and feedback given
 At the end of every module, a milestone assessment is scheduled to measure the skills.
 100% uploading assignments is mandatory in PBL for enabling module wise milestone assessment.
 Final Assessment is scheduled at the end of TRT which comprises of all topics.

Section C – Capstone Project (CP) / Business Oriented Project (BOP)

• Capstone project is designed to implement the required practical skills learnt during technical
readiness training for the given project.
• Duration - 2 weeks.
• On the last day, the working model of the project must be executed / demonstrated individually.
• Viva is part of the project presentation.

Section C-1 – “PRP Assessment” framework

Category : MCQ
Logic building program for programming languages
Methodology : Online Mettl Tool
Weightage : 50% for a category (All streams except CIS)
40% - MCQ, 50% - BOP & 10% - Communication (CIS)
Duration : 1 hour for every category
Qualifying Score : >=60% for all stages
Stages : Module Assessments
Final Assessments
Capstone Evaluation
 All questions are of multiple choice/response
 PRP schedules along with milestone and supplementary assessments date are shared during the
induction week, which would be strictly adhered.
 Not attending the assessments on the scheduled date would be considered as a lost attempt.

Note: Maximum of 3 attempts are allowed for each stage (1 Main attempt, 2 Supplementary attempts)
Eg: If Module 1 is not cleared with 60%, will continue to attend Module 2, during Module 2 assessment need
to take Module-1 supplementary-1. The same is applicable for all modules, BOP and final assessments.

Section D – Successful PRP Completion Criteria

Fresher’s whose :
1. PRP score is ≥60% in all milestones, final assessment and Capstone project/ BOP would be declared
as “successfully cleared” and they would be deputed to the respective GBL / SMU for project
allocation.
2. PRP score is <60% in main or supplementary attempts will be asked to exit the organization with
immediate effect.

Section D1 – Project Allocation

Freshers should report to projects only after the PRP results are declared as “Successfully Cleared”. Project
would be allocated to all recruits by the end of PRP along with location details. Freshers cannot report to
project unless the PRP scores are declared. In case, the freshers report to the project before declaring of the
PRP scores they would be called back immediately. GBL/ SMU does not have any hold on the fresher until
the PRP is successfully cleared. Location and projects cannot be changed or denied

Section F – PRP Generic Information & Guidelines

The below information applies to all PRP batches:

 Trainings are scheduled in Wipro campus from the date of joining.


 Wipro office/training timings are 8:30a.m – 6:00p.m and you will have to follow the same.
 Training schedule for PRP would be sent by your location PMO during the Induction week to your Wipro
email id. Copy of the training schedule will be available in the training room.
 Faculty may be internal or from Wipro approved training partners.
 The location technical team takes care of all hardware and software Infrastructure requirements for the
training.
 The use of the systems during class hours for non-learning purposes will not be permitted.
 You must sign the attendance sheet every day. If you fail to do so, you will not get the credit for attending
the session and marked absent for the same.
 It is mandatory to share your feedback for the faculty after every session is completed (log on to
mywipro.wipro.com> my career>My Learning> Faculty Feedback
 During Training, it is mandatory that freshers must come in formal dress code.
 Carrying media like CDs, pen drive, camera, personal laptop etc. into the training room is not permitted.
 No travel conveyance can be claimed during PRP training.
 During your training, irrespective of the location of training, you must fill in your weekly efforts in the Time
Management System (TMS), which is part of “mywipro->my Time ->Efforts”, without fail. Choose Non-
Project Efforts ->Training and Development. Failure to do so will automatically deduct your leave.

 You must complete the PRP training successfully before joining the projects. In case you receive
a mail or a call asking you to join the project before the completion of training, please ask the
requester to check with PMO and get the approval to release to projects.
 Integrity Issues: Proxy Attendance, Malpractice during Assessments, Sexual Harassments and
misbehavior during training will warrant Termination from the service.

Attendance and Leave during training period:

 Recording your attendance is mandatory, therefore you must Swipe-in and Swipe-out daily.
 Login of weekly efforts is mandatory along with attendance swiping.
 Please check your attendance in myWipro. If it is not recorded, you can edit and submit for your
supervisor’s approval.
 Please seek prior permission from your location PRP Coordinator in case you are not able to attend
training on any day due to an emergency.
 Note that you are not eligible to take leave during the PRP training. In case of any emergency, you need
to reach out to location PMO and take prior concurrence on the same.
 Fresher’s availing leave for more than 2 days for any reason will be moved from the current batch and
marked LOP till you resume back to training.
 Fresher on LOP due to medical or personal exigency reasons cannot avail more than 2 weeks unless
proper documentation is shared with PMO and HR approves the same.

commencement of Technology Readiness Training.

The Registration Process:

Section H - Useful Information

TopGear:

TopGear is a crowdsourcing platform, which provides a virtual and physical environment for employees to
be engaged, and gain hands-on experience in skills on demand and become future ready. All freshers are
expected to register in Top Gear and attempt at least one project before stepping in to the Projects.

MySkill-Z Competency Framework

It enables you to acquire high demand skill(s) for better project and career opportunities.

Key Features of MySkill-Z Competency Framework:

 Applicable to employees in Band B3 and below (including those in Wipro Integrated Learning
Program) in Project / Technical roles
 All applicable employees are expected to acquire at least one skill every year from the list of high
demand skills prioritized by each Practice/E-Hub
 End to End focus on acquiring skill(s) with Hands-on expertise to enable Project deployment
 Acquire additional high demand skill(s) in aspirational technologies/areas
