“Jalgaon District Chess Association” & G H Raisoni Institute of Engineering and Business Management has
the honour to invite all Chess Players from the State of Maharashtra to participate in the G.H.Raisoni
Memorial Maharshtra State Open FIDE Rating Chess Championship Jalgaon 2023
2. Recognition
The championship is held under the auspices of All India Chess Federation, & Maharashtra Chess
Association & organized by Jalgaon District Chess Association & G H Raisoni Institute of Engineering and
Business Management and will serve as selection event for 60th National Chess Championship Pune
2023.
3. Selection of Maharashtra Team
• Top 4 Players will be selected to represent Maharashtra State in forthcoming Senior National Chess
Championship . Players participating in this championship will only be allowed to participate in Senior
National Chess Championship August 2023 Pune.
4.Eligibility Criteria
Only the players completing the following conditions are eligible to play the said chess
championship.
All entries should be strictly routed through the respective District Chess Associations
affiliated to MCA.
• Each District Association is entitled to field 4 Selected players.
• ‘Selected Player’ means the player selected from the respective District Selection Events.
Besides the above, the District Associations may enter an unlimited number of players as a
Doner Entry.
• Additional Selected entries for Districts-Pune (4) Auragabad (2)
5.Exemptions Criteria
• Participation In the State Selection Chess tournaments of Maharashtra is Mandatory for
everyone except for certain exemptions who can directly give their entry for respective
National tournament which are mentioned below.
No Tournaments Criteria
Players with classical rating of 2000 & above
1 State Senior Open Selection exempted from participation
If any player wishes to skip the state selection championships and directly take part in
National Championships then he/she will have to pay privilege fee of Rs. 3,500 to MCA
for each state selection championship which they desire to skip. It is mandatory for any
player to take part in at least one state selection chess championship for he/she to be
exempted from paying the privilege fee in current year

Services by the organizers. Accomping person/parents have to make their own
