LNG Filling Procedure

1. Ensure all LNG Tank Farm manual system is in operation besides the auto system
2. Open manual bypass line of both ESV 2 liquid supply line to main vaporiser at the LNG
storage tank
3. Open manual bypass valves ESV 3 and ESV 4 near main vaporiser
4. Connect vapor filling from storage tank to road tanker vapor outlet valve. ENSURE VALVE IN
CLOSED POSITION.
5. Connect liquid filling from PBU to road tanker liquid outlet valve. ENSURE VALVE IN CLOSED
POSITION.
6. Connect liquid filling from storage tank to road tanker liquid supply outlet valve. ENSURE
VALVE IN CLOSED POSITION.
7. Ensure storage tank to be refilled not in active condition to avoid low supply pressure to
downstream pipeline.
8. Check road tank LNG level and tank pressure before start filling.
9. After confirmation which storage tank to be refilled, start equalizing road tanker and storage
tank pressure by opening storage tank vapor filling valve and purge NG to atmosphere to
ensure NO air entering road tanker. After purge for 15 second start to turn on road tank
vapor supply valve. Wait until pressure is equalized.
10. Once equalized, closed road tanker vapor supply valve and then storage tank vapor filling
valve. Purge all gas in the line through vent stack.
11. Dismantle hose connection from the storage supply line and connect it to PBU vapor outlet
nozzle. Once connected, open liquid supply valve from road tanker and purge the NG
through tanker vent valve. After 15 second close the vent valve. Start pressure build up in
road tanker by opening road tanker vapor supply valve. Monitor the pressure.
12. Once reaching 7 to 7.5 BarG pressure in the road tanker, start filling storage tank by opening
road tanker liquid supply valve and later storage tank liquid filling valve. Used storage tank
top filling line. Monitor the pressure at storage tank.
13. Filled the tank until 90% level by monitoring the pressure differential and liquid level gauge.
14. Top filling will cause storage tank pressure dropping and this will assist for faster filling rate.
15. Once reach 90% level, closed road tanker liquid filling valve. Pour water on filling hose to
ensure all LNG turn into NG and push to enter the storage tank. Closed storage tank liquid
filling valve. Then purge remaining LNG through storage tank vent valve. Once empty close
all valves. Dismantle hose to another tank liquid filling valve.
16. Repressurised the filled storage tank using PBU to 4 barg. Turn on the liquid supply valve
back to OPEN position for normal operation.
17. Repeat procedure No. 1 to 16 for filling 2 nd storage tank.
