Government Agreement
Background
Golden Tide is a Chinese gold mining company who would like to mine gold in
Ghana. However, the area they are interested in, which is called the region of
Nokyem, is populated by thousands of illegal miners called Galamsey, and the chief
of the Nokyem also owns the land too. A meeting was held on June 19th, 2023 over
Zoom between representatives of Golden Tide, the Ghana Government and the
Nokyem Chiefs.
Parties Involved
● Golden Tide - Mary Lorraine Uy & Doniyor Tojikhonov
● Ghana Government - Muhammad Umair Atteeq & Ozan Omurlu
● Nokyem Chiefs - Chen Xi & Justin Hong
Profit Distribution
● The joint venture between the Golden Tide and the Galamseys will be
terminated
● The party that breached this agreement shall compensate the affected parties
fully for the damage
● Golden Tide shall surrender its license to mine gold or any other precious
metals in the Nokyem region to Nokyem Galamseys
● The Galamsey will be the only ones who can legally continue mining in the
Nokyem region
● All safety and mining equipment will be returned to Golden Tide, and the
Ghana government will be responsible for supplying the Galamsey with safety
equipment and mining materials
● Golden Tide will not be responsible for converting the gold mines to cocoa
farms, help fund and build any educational and recreational facilities, nor
install any solar panels with the government
Unresolved Disputes
If there are any unresolved disputes, discrepancies between two or three of the
parties involved, and/or any issues with a lot of ambiguity that this agreement did not
cover, all three parties involved will have another meeting with the same
representatives to resolve these things.

read and agreed to everything mentioned above in this agreement
