1.0 PURPOSE
This procedure is intended to provide guidance for the painting the pipelines in
TEME terminals in both Mostorod and Suez fulfilling requirements of clause No 9
in GS_MS_COR_811_EN_00 External protection of structures and equipment.
2.0 SCOPE
The purpose of this document is to describe the painting activities including,
surface preparation and paint application according to painting scheme for
project scope described below:

5.0 RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Paint storage
The quantities of paint and thinners required to perform the entire job will be
procured before the work commences
The products will be delivered to site in their original sealed packaging and
stored in such conditions as to avoid their degradation (controlled temperature,
etc.).
2.1. After blasting and prior to the application of the 1st coat all dust will be
removed completely by blowing down and/or vacuum cleaning. The
maximum allowed amount of dust is Rating No. 1 according to ISO
8502-3.

3. Application:

3.3. Applying 1st coat primer -Jotamastic 87- using airless spray just after
finish applying stripe coat.

3.5. Rub down the Primer, blow using air, and wash down with high pressure
fresh water if necessary.
3.6. Applying 2nd coat – Hardtop XP- using airless spray just after finish
applying stripe coat.
3.7. All painting activities shall be carried out in compliance with products
technical data sheets and application guides.
4.1. Any damages occurred for the paint system up to the bare metal, shall
should abide be treated and cleaned according to the following procedures:
