Gender Sensitivity Training (GST)


Rationale
The training program is developed in response to the Cooperative Development Authority Memorandum
Circular No. 2013-22 “Guidelines on Mainstreaming Gender and Development in Cooperatives”.
Specifically, it aims to promote self-awareness amongst the individuals, develop awareness on gender
and mental health issues, and ultimately, to provide avenue/platform for the coop sector involvement.

Mode of Delivery: Face-to-Face


Schedule: November 26, 2021

Objectives:
• Define gender concepts and determine factors that influence gender
and reflect to build awareness of gender situation that affects relations
with one another
• Recognize the existence of different and evolving gender identities, gender
issues and gender inequality in the society
• Commit to make changes in themselves and put equal value on men and
women—their roles, contributions, rights, and benefits
• Apply the new learning to respond to the call of bringing about gender
equality at home, their peers, online social networks, organizations, and in
their community
