Any act or sequence of acts committed by any individual against a woman who seems to

be his wife, estranged wife, or against a woman with whom the individual has or had an
associated with sex or romantic relationships connection, or with whom he has a pervasive
child, or against her child whether legitimate or illegitimate, within or without the extended
families domicile, which consequences or is likely to lead to physical, intimate, mental trauma
or mental anguish, or financial abuse, is referred to as "violence against women and their
children."

I will utilize the resources at my disposal to raise knowledge about Republic Act 9262
and to disseminate the law's operative clauses in the hopes of convincing others of the law's
value and significance for women and children and, ultimately, of their own support for the
legislation.

What I need to remember about the Republic Act is how broadly a breach of this
legislation is interpreted. Abuse can take many forms, including those described here and in the
adjacent list: physical violence, sexual violence, psychological violence, and financial abuse.
Every family has them, but most people do not speak up because they do not know enough
about the legislation in our country. They did not speak up because they believed there was no
provision in the Philippine constitution protecting their rights to mental or physical health. So,
I'll keep an eye out for the things that could put you in violation of this act and utilize my many
channels to get the word out to everyone.

In some Filipino households, male members have a history of violating their female
members' basic human rights. A man has abandoned his wife and child, leaving them destitute.
A husband is depicted indicating a knife to his wife. A father who hits his kid because the kid is
gay or lesbian is a real thing. Therefore, I will launch an awareness program or disseminate
brochures explaining the clause, repercussions, and benefits of the law to every woman in the
country.
