SUMMARY
The past research conducted by a psychologists in 2008, found that those who feel warmpersonally are more inclined to
feel warmly toward others. The research also revealed that participants who momentarily handled a hot beverage were more
inclined to think of others as being kind and generous. This study proves that while we don't physically see it, drinking a hot cupof
tea improves a person's mental health besides its scientifically proven benefits, like boosting one's immune system and fighting
inflammation, among others. The concept of meditation can besomewhat intimidating and difficult to follow for some people,
especially beginners, especially without an appropriate guidance. One of the few tea sommeliers in the nation, Rachel Ngan
Duenas, organized a tea meditation ceremony last weekend at The Farm at San Benito for this purpose.InRachel's tea meditation,
she encourages participants to settle into their seats before asking themtorelax their jaws and shoulders. When they’re in the
zone, they might close there eyes, quiet their mind, and imagine making wishes or manifesting things for there self. Furthermore,
she has beenconducting tea meditation classes online and offline, as well as working as a consultant for several bars and holding
workshops about the basics of tea. (Tunac, 2023)
REACTION
It’s good to know that tea meditation is a good start for taking care our mental health. It meticulously talks about paying
attention to each and every detail, from preparing a cup of tea todrinking it. Additionally, after preparing your cup of tea, you may
begin waking up your senses by smelling the aroma of the tea, feeling the hot sensation oozing from your cup, and sipping on the
tea slowly and carefully. This will serve as your meditative state as you work on just being present and nothing else. With every sip
of tea, claim whatever we wish for yourself as if it's already our reality, and feel that manifestation spread throughout our body.
Duenas (2023) stated that teameditation is for everybody, but more so for those with a busy schedule. Through this practice,
wewill reap the many benefits of drinking tea and, in the process, gain peace of mind and calmenergy from meditation. It's like
hitting two birds with one stone. Even today, tea is served in monasteries and beyond to encourage a state of focus, clarity and
emotional balance. Much like meditationingeneral, tea meditation is the practice of mindfully preparing yourself a cup of tea,
away fromall the distractions, while still focusing on our breathing.
