HSBC Technology is a key function within the Bank that builds and maintains its information technology systems. Technology teams draw on
insights from HSBC’s vast global network and combine them, with cutting edge financial technology to deliver an unrivalled global banking
experience to its customers.

For example, more than 20 million customers of HSBC are now able to use much more secure and simpler biometrics identification for phone and
mobile banking. In key markets, HSBC is integrating banking services with popular social media apps so customers can execute banking
transactions without having to leave their favourite social media apps. In 2018, we executed a live Letter of Credit (LC) transaction for a real
shipment of goods using scalable blockchain technology – an industry first. Biometrics enabled banking for HSBC’s commercial banking customers
is available in 37 markets.

HSBC plans to invest US$ 15-17 billion between now and 2020, primarily in growth and technology, and HSBC Technology India (HTI) has a key
role to play with a majority of HSBC’s global technology teams having a significant presence in India. Since 2002, we have grown significantly to
become an integral part of the global HSBC Technology function, with more than #14,000 colleagues across centres in Hyderabad and Pune.

HTI’s multi-disciplined teams of information architects, software developers, business analysts, quality assurance and infrastructure experts work in
Agile and DevOps pods that are empowered and encouraged to push the boundaries of technology and innovate to solve real world problems.
They collaborate with HSBC businesses across global markets to develop and deliver smarter financial services and solutions to customers.

Enabled with more than 90 DevOps tools and using Disciplined Agile methodologies our colleagues work on the latest technologies and trends in
automation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud, biometrics, data engineering, robotics, Blockchain, etc. to make banking simpler, better,
faster and safer for our customers.

Role purpose/summary

The candidate would be required to provide appropriate (i.e. Simple, Better and Faster time to market) solutions by demonstrating their knowledge
in:

Description : Any of Mobile, Analytics, Cloud and Digital technology domains

Building scalable, loosely-coupled and efficient applications by leveraging suitable programming skills in any or combination of Java, Python,
Angular/Node JS, etc. which can run seamlessly across platforms/mobile/internet/cloud
Data generation from cloud-based system mesh seamlessly with on-premises applications
Open source development thus harnessing collective wisdom and learning
Various OS like Android, Linux and DBs like relational and no-SQL would be beneficial
Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) pipeline and Agile methodology
Cyber security and associated protocols

The job holder will be responsible for:

Gathering business requirements by working closely with business users and other related IT teams spread across globally
Designing solution(s) adhering to the design principles such as Decision Driven Design (DDD)
Delivering solution through Agile methods underpinned by advanced DevOps
Rolling out and supporting the solution across various markets
