duplication, resulting in cost savings. Furthermore, EHRs aid in data analysis and
research, promoting evidence-based decision-making and public health planning. A
study titled "Normalization of electronic medical records in routine healthcare work
amidst ongoing digitalization of the Philippine health system" conducted by Samuel
Yap et al. (2020) highlights the positive impact of EHR implementation in the
Philippines. The study found that EHRs enhanced data documentation, improved
