Hypospadias Atlas
Hypospadias Atlas
Most hypospadias repairs are day surgery. You will bring your child to the hospital for the day and
then go home with them after the surgery is complete. Your child will spend their time healing at
home.
This handout shows the normal stages of healing that occur after hypospadias repair. It shows how
healing can look different in different patients. Your child's healing after hypospadias repair should
look like the images shown. If it does then there is no reason for you to bring your child to the
emergency department. However, if you are concerned about your child's healing process, please
do not hesitate to contact the urology team.
