1. Tính từ sở hữu: đứng trước danh từ.

2. Đại từ sở hữu = tính từ sở hữu + danh từ (phải được nhắc đến trước đó, hoặc người
nghe/người đọc biết đến nó.)
VD: The pen on the table is mine.
This is my pen. Where is yours (your pen)?
3. Sở hữu cách: một thứ/người này thuộc về một thứ/người kia
Cấu tạo:
- ’s: This is Hà’s car.
- ’: khi mà kết thúc của từ đó là “s”: my parents’ house
- n + of + n: example of extinction; he is my sister’s friend (= he is a friend of my
sister’s.)

LƯỢNG TỪ (QUANTIFIERS)
- Định nghĩa: dùng để xác định số lượng của ai/thứ gì.
- Vị trí: đứng trước danh từ.
Các từ được coi là lượng từ:
- Đi với danh từ đếm được: many/few/a few/…
- Đi với danh từ không đếm được: little/a little/much/…
- Đi với cả hai: a lot of (lots of)/some/any/most/plenty of/…
Ví dụ với “any”
+ Khi đi với danh từ số nhiều hoặc không đếm được. Any nằm ở trong câu phủ
định hoặc nghi vấn.
 Can I borrow a pen? Sorry, I don’t have any pens.
Did you eat any food at the party last night?
+ Đi với danh từ số ít: bất kì
You can choose any shirt you want.
Phân biệt giữa: Few – A few – Little – A little
- A few/a little: một vài, một chút
Vd: I have a little money, so we can go to the supermarket to buy food.
- Few/little: rất ít (không đủ cho việc gì)
Vd: There is little food left in the fridge, so people have to go out to eat.
Cách diễn đạt khác của lượng từ:
- Many: a large number of. Vd: There are many (a large number of) participants in
the contest.
- Much: a large amount of/a great deal of. Vd: You can find much (a large amount
of) information about technology on the internet.
- A lot of/lots of: a load of/loads of; a massive of/masses of; …
- Some: several, a number of (a few)/an amount of (a little)
