Question:
Design a system for an Automobile Manufacturing company has two departments: one is PTED
and the other is ASSEMBLE department. It’s manufacturing process by using S7-300 PLC and
both departments are needed to be connected using single PLC. The PTED has 70 digital sensor,
40 digital actuators, 30 analog sensors and 30 proportional controllers to control processes like
temperature, pressure, and motor speeds. ASSEMBLE department is 120 meters away from
PTED having 50 digital sensor, 10 digital actuators, 20 analog sensors and 8 analog outputs. The
capacity of each digital and analog module is 04 bytes/module and 16 bytes/module respectively,
with the addition of 20% (tolerance) of these I/O’s.
Deliverable:
• Rack designing with the specification of the addresses of the PLC’s I/Os.
• Select the appropriate S7-300 PLC’s CPU.
