E-learning

As an ICT teacher of DepEd, I think e-learning is not possible today’s time. The

availability of internet connection in the Philippines is limited and too expensive for the

students. The knowledge and skills of our students is not enough to cope with this trend

in education. I experienced teaching students in senior high school, they not even know

how to use the keyboard and mouse properly. I believed that the major problem is the

availability of technology in public schools.

However, if the government overcome these problems. E-learning will have great

impact in the trend of education in the Philippines. E-learning will help the students

access global education. The lack of access to tools and educational resources by our

country will have a solution through e-learning. One of the example of these is the

quizalize/zzish online platform in which the students will learn much more about a

certain lesson. It is a worldwide online platform.E-learning helps students develop in-

demand skills . Digital technology will soon be at the core of most industries. The

interactive approach of educational technology encourages students to obtain digital

skills, which will be vital to succeed in the labour market.

It brings global opportunities for national economies. We are in a digital age

where computers are everywhere. Younger generation will make a great impact if they

master the use of technology and use it in the betterment of our country. We , teachers

should always one step ahead about the trends in education.
