Materials: Pictures of Different Occupations

Strategies: tree diagram, pictures, fishbone graphic organizer

Procedure:

1. Motivation

Ask: Who are the helpers in our community?

How do they help us?

2. Presentation

Let the pupils listen to the story about the three

good friends. Let them find out what the surprise was.

A Surprise

It was Saturday morning. Josie, Linda and Nancy

are sweeping in the nearby barangay plaza. Look who's

coming shouted Josie. Happily, the girls greeted Captain

Roland C. Santos. " Good Morning Captain! " " Good morning too

girls! "Responded the captain. "I have a surprise to all of you."

What is it Captain? Asked the girls. "I bought one set of Volleyball

equipment. I knew it's your favorite hobby every afternoon. Since

our old volleyball equipment were already torn, I tried to find


ways and means to buy new one for all of you. It's all because

you're all responsible." Josie, Linda and Nancy felt so happy to

know about captain's surprise gift for them.

3. Comprehension Questions

4. Let the pupils look at the pictures of the different occupation or

professions. Let them name each one shown inthe picture.

that go with the name.
