things like their social lives, extracurricular activities, and homework. This study intends to

look into the factors that lead to sleep deprivation in grade 10 students as well as the average

amount of sleep they get on school days. This study aims to pinpoint these elements in order

to offer suggestions for a better sleep patterns in grade 10 student, which will ultimately

improve both their academic performance and general well-being.

Statement of the Problem

The main objective of this research is to determined the amount of sleep grade

10 student gets in Quezon National High school S.Y. 2022-2023

Specifically, it aimed to accomplish the following questions:

1. What is the average sleep of the respondents in Grade 10?

2. Are there any demographic or lifestyle factors that are associated

with grade 10 students getting less sleep on school nights?

3. What are the lifestyle factors that really affect the sleep of 10th grade

students?

4. How many grade 10 student are sleeping normally?

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

This chapter covers the study's research methodology, which seeks to ascertain the

_______________(indicate the research title)______________________. It comprises the

research design, locale, population and samples, instruments, data gathering procedures, and

statistical treatment of data. The systematic process of how the researchers dealt with the

present study was clearly discussed in this section.

Research Design

This research is quantitative in nature. The researcher utilized quantitative –

descriptive research design to gather descriptive data to determine the amount of sleep grade

10 students get in Quezon National High school

Research Locale

The study was conducted at Quezon National High School. The researcher selected

the school as the research locale because the researchers are studying at this school .

Research Population and Sample

The population considered in this study was learners enrolled in Quezon National

High School during the school year 2022-2023.

In this study, the respondents were selected through convenience sampling. Only

those who gave their consent and present during the data gathering participated in the study.

Research Instrument

The study began with a questionnaire on how many hours of sleep grade 10 student

get. Respondents were requested to answer the questions at the beginning of the event as part

of the procedure. After that, during the period, researchers conducted comprehensive tests,

the results of which were recorded as their data.

Data Gathering Procedure

To achieve the aim of this study, the researchers performed the following steps in

gathering and managing data.

Before conducting the survey, the researchers seek the approval from the research

adviser and prepared a formal request letter to the respondents. The administration of the

survey questionnaire followed the permission to gather the needed information for the study

was granted.

After administering the questionnaire, the researchers collected, tallied, and

interpreted the data gathered.

Statistical Treatment of Data

After the data gathering and organizing of data, the researcher analyzed and interpreted the

results with the use of appropriate statistical treatment.

To answer problem 1 which are about the average sleep of grade 10 respondents mean was

used. To get the average sleep of the grade 10 respondents based on their scores, the formula

for the mean is as follow:

CHAPTER IV

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

This chapter summarizes the results of the study. It includes the summary of findings

generated from the data gathered, the conclusions descended from the findings, and the

recommendations deduced from the conclusions of the study.

Summary

The study aimed to determine the academic performance in Math of Grade 10 ODLS

3 students in General Emilio Aguinaldo National High School S.Y. 2021.

Specifically, it attempted to: identify the average grade of the Grade 10 students; determine

the number of students with grades less than or equal to 75; and determine the number of

students with grades greater than 75.

There were ___ students involved in the study. The study utilized the descriptive method of

research that made use of survey questionnaires. The tests were administered in General

Emilio Aguinaldo National High School. In identifying the average grade of the students,

mean was used. To determine the number of students with grades less than or equal to75 and

the number of students with grades greater than 75, percentiles for grouped data was used.

Based on the data gathered, it was found that the class has an average grade of

82.88% or 83% in Mathematics.

After conducting the percentiles for grouped data, it was found out that

_______which means that

Conclusion

Based on the result, it was affirmed that Grade 10 ODLS 3 performances in Math got

a higher percent of mastery level during the 2 nd quarter, because there are only small percent

of the students who got failing grades and most of the students got a passing grade.

Recommendations

Based on the conclusions, the following recommendations are presented:

1. The teacher will conduct remedial classes with 14% of the students.

2. Future researcher may do parallel studies using other locales and with increased

number of respondents in descriptive and experimental method of research.
