HOT ROLLING :

Operation experience in the following divisions SMS, CONCAST and REROLLING

 Incoming Raw Material Checking and Planning for Heat wise Production and Daily
Production prepared reports checking and information passed on.
 Planning for improving production volume and product quality and variable cost
/ton related to power ,fuel, manpower and maintenance cost.
 Smooth handling of CCM division for producing good quality billets with less
breakdowns.
 Stocking of Billets with proper identification and despatching to the particular
critical Customers.
 Setting and Solving techincal problems in Hot Charging of Billets from CCM to
Rerolling Mills.
 Production planning as per marketing order and Cutting Length of Billets planning
for Particular Size of (8 to 40 mm) TMT Bars to reduce percentage randoms at the
end of the finishing Section.
 Develop and implement Plans for efficient use of Materials, Man Power and
Machinery to control percentage randoms, miss rolls and meltings for meet
Production Target.
 Preparing operational budjects, developing new process concepts for the production
optimization, Yield improvement and formulating guidelines for the sequencing of
manufacturing activities.
 Planning and effecting predective and preventive maintenance schedules for
various equipments and carriying out periodic checks to ensure the performances.
 Identifying scope for planning / implementing technologic changes to enhance
efficiency

Quality Control experience in the following divisions SMS,CONCAST and

REROLLING MILLS and DRI :

 Heat by Heat verification of chemical analysis to improve the quality of Steel.

 Tesing of chemical analysis of raw material and finished products through wet and
spectro analysis methods.
 Physical inspection of billets during hot charging process and proper setting of
length cutting as per rolling size.
 Raw Materials like sponge iron, SiMn Petrolium Coke etc. Testing and issuing ISI
Test Certificates for final product Billets.
 Attending the customer complaints and trace out the root cause for solving
technical problem if any.

 Defects araising during Hot charging to rolling immediatly analised,findout the root
cause and arrested.
 BIS licence approval implimentation for billets and TMT Bars and maintaining with
proper documentation.
 ISO 9001 : 2015 implementation.

COLD ROLLING :

Responsibilities in production :

 Raw material Planning for HR Slitters according to the Customer requirements and
given to the process route.
 Pickling process checking and rolling mill time schedule and thickness of the sheet as
per customer requirement to be maintained properly.
 Annealing Cycles setting and material planning for Skin pass mills and slitters and
Cut to Length Machines.

Responsibilities in Quality :

 Raw materials of HR Coils Physical inspection and Chamical analysis on Spectrometer

(JARREL YASH – American made).
 Mechanical Testing of Ultimate Tensile Strength, Rockwell Hardness Testing and
Metallurgical Testing.
 Process inspection at Skinpass mills, Slitters and Cut to Length machines for
detecting surface defects and improve the surface quality and carefully slitting as per
customer requirements.
 Attending customer complaints and trace out the route cause.
 Prepared documentation for ISO 9001:2000
