Sealed competitive Tenders are invited for conducting Director General of Shipping
approved STCW-BST (Basic Safety Training) and STSDSD (Ship Security Training for
Seafarers with Designated Security Duties) course for 75 students undergoing B.Tech Marine
Engineering Course at KM School of Marine Engineering during October/November 2023 as per
the general terms and conditions attached herewith.

Last date and time for submission of tender : 31.07.2023 - 3.00 p.m
Date and tirne of openingtenders : 31.07.2023 - 3.15 p.rn.

 GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Sealed competitive tenders are invited for conducting DG Shipping approved STCW- BST (Basic Safety
Training) and STSDSD(Ship Security Training for sea farers with designated security Duties ) for
KMSME cadets as per the following terms and conditions.

2. The cost of tender form is, 0.2oh of tender amount plus l8% GST (non refundable) (Limited to | 500/- as per
store purchase manual +18% GST < 2701- (1500+270:17701-) shall be transferred to the Registrar CUSAT,
SB Account No. 67001 122602,IFSC : SBINO010235, SBI,CUSAT campus branch.

As per clause 4(a) of the general conditions in the tender you are requested to remit the EMD @1 oh of thetcrtal
cost of the tender value which is refundable within one month afterthe tender is settled. The amount mav be oaid
by DD in favour of the l)irector, KMSME.

If there are any additional attempt for the exit examination by any cadet, KMSME will not be liable for the
payment of additional exit examination fees, the institution may collect it directly from the cadets.

Sealed cover containing the tender should have the superscription "Tender for STCW- BST (Basic Safety

All tenders should be sent to the Director, K. M. School of Marine Engineering, Cochin University of Science
and Technology, Kochi -22 by post only. Hand/Courier delivery will not be accepted.

7. Theratequotedshallbeinclusiveoftuitionfee,alltaxes,Teaandsnacks,Lunchand transportationfrom
KMSNIE, CUSAT, Kochi - 682022 to the institution and back and any other fees / expenses related to
course and certification including exit examination. Institutions situated away from Ernakulam District
shall also include accommodation charges in their quote.

B. Selected and approved tender shall be valid for one year from the date ofopening ofthe tender.

9. A declaration to the effect that the institution aqrees to the general ternrs and conditions ofthe tender shall be
submitted along with the tender.

l0 No representation for the enhancement of price once accepted will be considered during the period of the
contract.

ll Any attempt to influence the University personnel concerned in their lavour by personal canvassing will
disoualifv the bidders.

t2 Special conditions raised by the bidder, if any, printed on the tender shcets of the bidder or attached with the
Tender will not be applicable to the contract unless they are accepted in writing by the Director, KMSME.

r3 Payment rvill be made after completingthe course by the 75 students as perthe Purchase order. Payment will be
made through Crossed Bank Cheque only.

l4 Any tender received after the time fixed on the due date shall be rejected.

t5 The sealed tenders with superscription as above should reach the Director. K. M. School of Marine Engineering,
Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi 68-1 022 on or before 31 .07.2023,3 p.m.
