Concours / Show & Shine Rules


These rules are to be used as a guide but may be altered by the judges without prior warning.

The competition may be split into any number of the following classes decided on by the Judges and
PSCUK committee (usually based upon number/type of entrants).

• Concours (Standard)

• Concours (Modified)

• Show & Shine (Standard)

• Show & Shine (Modified)

Below are brief descriptions of the classes:

Show & Shine is the ‘beginners’ class and vehicles that are generally used every day. (Previous
Peugeot Festival Show & Shine winning cars are not permitted to be entered in a Show & Shine Class
for the year following their win and will be moved up to Concours).

Concours this class is for experienced competitors and for vehicles of a very high standard, cars that
are purely show/competition cars must be entered in this class however daily cars may also be
entered.

Standard Class Cars must be of original Peugeot Specification, (Peugeot accessories are allowed).
Items not meeting original specification will incur a penalty (decided on by the inspecting judge).
Exempt modifications (allowed without incurring a penalty): Non Standard exhaust with tail pipe
diameter not exceeding 3”, Lowered to a maximum of 30mm, Upgraded Head Unit & CD Changer
fitted in standard location, Security devices.

Modified Class For cars fitted with non-Peugeot accessories/modifications. Any modification is
allowed without incurring a penalty.

Competitors will nominate their chosen class at point of entry; the judges have the right to transfer
vehicles between classes.

Competition Judges

The Judge/Judges shall be appointed by the PSCUK committee.

Judges are not permitted to judge their own vehicle, if a judge does wish to enter his/her own
vehicle in a class, that judge may not judge any vehicle in said class.

Prior to Peugeot Festival

Don’t wait until you get to the event to start cleaning your car! Set off to the event with an already
clean car and once you have parked up, prepare your car for judging by removing any road dirt you
have picked up on your journey. 

Rules for Competitors

Competitors must be PSCUK members. Please present your valid Club membership card when
judging commences on your vehicle.

Sign on must be completed on the day by 9.30am, please aim to do this as early as possible. Failure
to do so will result in your vehicle not being judged, so please aim to do this as early as possible.

All competitors’ vehicles must be parked in the designated judging area by 9.00am. Failure to do so
will result in your vehicle not being judged, so please aim to do this as early as possible.

All competitors must stop cleaning by 10am. Then only quick detailing and glass cleaning thereafter
due to dust etc whilst waiting to be judged.

Judging starts at 10am.

All vehicles must be in a safe/road worthy condition and hold a valid MOT certificate.

All vehicles must arrive by times specified and be parked where directed by the Judges/organisers
(unless alternative arrangements have previously been agreed with the Judges/organisers).

Competitors must be with their vehicle at the time of judging (Judges may provide an approximate
time of when judging is to take place but cannot be responsible for any amendments/alterations to
that time).

It is the responsibility of the competitor to advise the judges of any specific requirements associated
with their vehicle.

It is the responsibility of the competitor to advise the judges of any hazard of injury that may be
caused while judging their vehicle.

Vehicles must be fitted with all road wheels at the time of judging.

All reasonable requests of the judges must be met.

The use of ‘Silicone’ type Sprays are not permitted in the competition area.

Judging

All areas of the vehicle may be judged (refer to judging sheets).

Points will be awarded for the cleanliness/presentation of the vehicle.

Points will be divided between different parts of the vehicle (refer to judging sheets).

Additional points may be awarded based upon recorded mileage and age of the vehicle (refer to
judging sheets).

Awards will be presented once the hill climb closes.

Anyone found/believed to be breaking/attempting to break any of the above rules or found/believed


to be acting in an unfair manor will be excluded from this and future competitions.

The judge’s decision is final.

caused to any persons or vehicles while preparing for, during or after the competition.
