1 Complete the questionnaire with the following ideas or your own ideas.
1 Do you have a job?
2 Do you work in an office / at a bookstore / at a hotel /             ?
3 Do you live here / in London / in New York /             ?
4 Do you live in an apartment / a house / a student house /             ?
5 Do you live with your family / friend(s) / your sister(s) /             ?
6 Do you have a big family / a small family / a sister / a brother /             ?
7 Do you have a pet / a cat / a dog /             ?
8 Do you speak Arabic / Chinese / Spanish /             ?
9 Do you like music / TV / movies /             ?
10 Do you like to dance / sing / go shopping /             ?

2 Use your questionnaire to interview three different people in class. Make notes.

3 Work in groups of four. Tell your group about some of the things which people you interviewed
in exercise 2 have in common. Follow the example.
Juan, Jake, and Li are college students. They live here. They live in student houses.
Juan and Jake each have big families.

4 Work in groups of four. Take turns asking each other questions on your questionnaires to check
what you all have in common. When you finish, report to the class. Follow the example.
We are college students. We live here. We don’t have pets. We speak English. We like music and movies.
