Abstract—In the era of big data, the integration and
development of English teaching resources is faced with the
challenge of large amount, diversity and hidden value of
resources and data. Under the new situation, multimedia
teaching has great practical significance. This requires
contemporary English teachers to master the requirements and
basic operations of multimedia teaching and integrate modern
information technology with English teaching methods.
Advanced network technologies such as cloud computing must
be applied to multimedia teaching resources in colleges and
universities to solve the problems of security and hardware
resources encountered in the integration process. In the face of
the arrival of the big data era, English teachers should change
their teaching concepts in time, actively adapt to the
requirements of big data era for teachers and students,
reasonably use network data resources to develop English
teaching resources, and achieve English teaching objectives.
This paper analyzes the characteristics and application of big
data, expounds the difficulties in the process of English
multimedia teaching resources integration, and expounds the
ways of school education resources integration and
transformation.

I. INTRODUCTION
With the full integration of computer technology into our
lives, the integration of network information technology and
English teaching has realized that English teaching has
moved from a traditional classroom to a classroom in a
modern network environment, resulting in significant
improvements in teaching concepts, methods, models, and
quality [1]. Multimedia teaching means that in the teaching
process, according to the characteristics of teaching goals
and teaching objects, through teaching design, rational
selection and use of modern teaching media, and organic
combination with traditional teaching methods, to achieve
the most optimized teaching effect [2]. Multimedia
courseware displays the teaching content vividly and vividly
through the combination of audiovisual, sound and image,
and both dynamic and static. It expands students' horizons,
effectively promotes the large-capacity, multi-information
and high efficiency of classroom teaching, and helps
students develop intelligence and cultivate Ability and
quality improvement have brought classroom teaching into a
new realm [3]. After the emergence and widespread
application of cloud computing and the Internet of Things,
big data is recognized as a new round of disruptive
technological innovation. Big data can comprehensively
centralize data collections with diverse structures, wide

types, and large numbers, and process them with the help of
cloud computing data processing and application models [4].
The integration of multimedia teaching resources in colleges
and universities is not only the only way to improve the
competitiveness of the resource system itself in the era of
big data, but also an effective way to improve the quality of
resource management and service [5].
Due to the development of the Internet and the
information industry, big data has attracted more and more
attention. Applying a large amount of effective data to
English teaching can make our English teaching more
refined and maximize students' income and mastery [6]. In
the trend of education informatization reform in China,
education and teaching, teaching management, and scientific
research are all showing the trend of digitization and
informatization. Every aspect of education and teaching
management will generate massive amounts of data. The
impact of big data on comprehensive education is already

English teaching is a new and effective teaching method and
means, which requires teachers to fully understand the
important meaning, implementation principles and operating
essentials of multimedia assisted English teaching. Facing
the advent of the era of big data, English teachers must
change their teaching concepts in time, actively adapt to the
requirements of teachers and students in the era of big data,
and use network data resources to develop English teaching
resources to achieve the goals of English teaching [8]. With
the help of English multimedia teaching resources based on
big data technology, students can not only read text, listen to
recordings, watch pictures and animations, and do exercises,
but also answer questions and join conversations to improve
their oral expression skills [9]. This article analyzes the
characteristics and applications of big data, expounds the
difficulties faced in the process of integrating English
multimedia teaching resources, and expounds the ways for
schools to integrate and transform educational resources.
II. CONNOTATION OF ENGLISH MULTIMEDIA TEACHING
RESOURCES INTEGRATION IN BIG DATA ERA
A. The significance of Integrating English teaching
resources
The use of big data for the integration of educational
resources is an ideal concept, but if it lacks the support and
attention of university leaders and educators, its
implementation will inevitably be compromised, and it may
eventually fall into a vicious circle of mere formality. In the
era of big data, the number of resources on the Internet is
huge, and the existence of some low-value resources makes

 it more difficult for users to search and filter resources. The
integration of educational resources requires major
universities to take the lead and jointly implement it.
Although the Ministry of Education put forward the idea
and operation of resource sharing at the beginning of the
modern distance education project, in terms of actual effects,
the integration of educational resources in universities has
been The pace is very slow [10]. Because multimedia has
the characteristics of pictures, texts, sounds and even
moving images, it has many features and functions that are
especially valuable for English education and teaching.
Teachers can discover new knowledge points and create
new value through the integration, analysis, and induction of
big data. However, the value of big data is potentially
concealed and the distribution density is low. Teachers need
to carefully discover and mine, and analyze and summarize
it.
Multimedia teaching is a combination of traditional
teaching methods, using various media information to act on
students, forming a reasonable teaching structure process, so
as to achieve the most optimized teaching effect. Table I
shows the survey results about the types of courseware used
by teachers. We found that the courseware currently used by
teachers is still based on slides.

Multimedia network not only has the functions of
information processing and man-machine interaction, but
also realizes the transmission of multimedia information and
the sharing of multimedia information resources, thus
forming an ideal multimedia network teaching environment.
Although schools have verbally adhered to the principles of
overall construction and distributed services, data
consistency has become a problem that must be solved in
the integration of educational resources under the situation
of continuous accumulation and accumulation of big data,
and the accompanying data interface problem has brought
new difficulties and dilemmas to the integration and sharing
of educational resources. Through the integration of
multimedia teaching resources in colleges and universities,
we can make an effective evaluation of various types of
resources, and better guide colleges and universities to make
rational, accurate and effective use of resources. By
coordinating and optimizing information services, we can
innovate the improvement of service quality on the basis of
consolidating existing advantages.
B. Problems in the integration of English teaching
resources
In the era of big data, it is easier to obtain data resources,
and all the data information has entered the database, and
we are in the flood of information every day. In the process
of integrating educational resources, schools are not aware
of the importance of software investment. In the information
age, the content of network teaching resources is
complicated and the format is different, which may interfere
with the actual effect of English teaching. Therefore, the
ability to identify and classify the acquired online teaching
resources is a great challenge for English teachers. Although
in the big data environment, the phenomenon that
universities attach importance to hardware investment and

neglect software investment has been alleviated, on the
whole, this crux has not been fundamentally solved, and the
integration of educational resources still needs to overcome
these difficulties. According to historical information, big
data analysis technology can screen out students with slow
learning progress in time, and actively send reminders to
urge these students to keep up with the overall teaching
progress [11].
A survey of students' use of multimedia courseware
shows that multimedia courseware is widely used in
classrooms. However, not all courseware can play a good
role in classroom lectures, and a large part of courseware is
still used in lectures and other activities. In addition, due to
the limitation of software and hardware, some teachers
rarely use courseware. Table II shows the frequency and
proportion of teachers using multimedia courseware in class.

By investigating the influence of multimedia courseware
on classroom teaching, it is found that most students agree
with the influence of multimedia courseware on classroom
teaching. Table III shows the statistical data about the effect
of using multimedia courseware in classroom teaching.

In the era of big data, the content presented by
information is diversified. Some negative energy resources,
such as pornography, violence and superstition, inevitably
enter teaching, which seriously affects students' world
outlook and values. Therefore, English teachers should first
have the ability to effectively integrate and allocate complex
and diverse network teaching resources. At present, most of
the multimedia teaching resources collected by some
colleges and universities, especially the information and
materials downloaded through the network, are not
classified and sorted out, and even worthless information
resources are mixed with them. It is of great significance to
improve the ordering degree of resources and the
convenience for users of multimedia teaching resources in
colleges and universities to inquire these materials.
III. THE METHOD OF INTEGRATING ENGLISH TEACHING
RESOURCES BASED ON BIG DATA
With the development of information technology and
network technology, a huge amount of information rushes to
the face every day. When college students receive all kinds
of information, it is difficult to distinguish between correct
information and negative information due to their
insufficient discrimination ability. In the integration and
development of English teaching resources, we should
adhere to the principle of combining initiative with guidance.
Teachers must actively publish resources and information
 that are beneficial to teaching on the Internet, and actively
guide students through the network platform. With big data
as an important technical means, schools can set up
intelligent digital textbooks for students at different
cognitive development stages and different learning
foundations, so that the textbooks can adapt to the individual
differences between each student. Based on the existing
teaching platform and learning center, teachers can use
cloud computing to store, analyze and calculate the massive
structured and unstructured data generated by the use of
teachers and students, and find out the huge potential hidden
therein. Value, further serving for teaching [12]. The design
of multimedia courseware must pay attention to the agility
of students' thinking, the cultivation of students' perception
and intuition, and the basic concepts and important
principles. Using multimedia, teachers can let students
perform role performances and dubbing movies in class.
This can not only exercise the students' oral English ability,
but also allow students to integrate into the classroom and
deepen the impression of the text.
As a whole, the relationship between the three-
dimensionality of the teaching process and the relationship
between the three-dimensionality and the learning effect is
assumed to be consistent with the observed data. Figure 1 is
a path analysis model of multimedia classroom classroom
environment construction dimensions and learning effects.

Digital education platform should have the function of
teacher feedback, so that teachers can know which part of
students' learning has encountered obstacles, and provide
teachers with further overall analysis data of students'
performance. In order to improve the innovation of
multimedia teaching resources in our school, we must give
full play to the enthusiasm of teachers in building resources.
Schools should formulate relevant incentive policies to
encourage teachers to produce all kinds of excellent
teaching resources. In the era of big data, only the flow and
sharing of resources can bring new opportunities for the
development of colleges and universities, and the potential
value of data needs to be stimulated in the open flow
between different data sets. Through the massive data
collected by the database, students' test scores and
attendance rates can be analyzed. In this way, teachers can
find out the early warning information that leads to poor test
scores or drop out of school in time, and can also analyze
the specific courses that are unnecessary consumption, so as
to improve the efficiency and effect of curriculum education.
The main service object of the integration of multimedia
teaching resources is all teachers and students in colleges
and universities. In order to improve the efficiency of
resource use, we must start from the actual needs of teachers
and students and fully consider the various needs of teachers
and students. In order to realize the opening, co-construction
and sharing of teaching resources among different colleges
and universities, it is necessary to establish an incentive
mechanism for co-construction, communicate with relevant

departments on campus and similar colleges outside campus,
and share high-quality resources, so that teaching resources
can be continuously updated through information exchange
among various colleges and teachers and students.
IV. CONCLUSIONS
The construction, integration and development of
English teaching resources in the era of big data are not only
the teaching needs, but also the needs of the development of
the times. In the era of big data, the explosive growth of
information on the Internet poses a great challenge to the
multimedia teaching resources system in colleges and
universities. Our society is developing rapidly, so English
teaching should keep up with the pace of the times and
combine English education with multimedia to improve
English teaching level. Teaching resources, as resources
serving educational activities, are the most important
elements in the education system. We should do a good job
in the data application of teaching resources, and improve
the construction, development, integration and management
of teaching resources, which will effectively promote the
development of teaching activities and improve the teaching
effect. Schools should adhere to the principles of
specialization, integrity and standardization in the
integration and transformation of educational resources by
using big data, and implement dynamic management for
students, so as to raise the quality of education to a new
level. While adapting to the era of big data, colleges and
universities should take the initiative to discover the hidden
knowledge in multimedia teaching resources system by
using big data analysis technology, so as to lay a solid
foundation for the further development of university
