 The learner understands Transport Mechanisms such as Simple Diffusion, Facilitated
Diffusion, Active Transport and Vesicular Transport

b. Performance Standard:
 The learners should be able to construct a cell membrane model from indigenous materials

c. Formation:
 The learners must take care of one’s health.

 Describe the structural components of the cell membrane.
 Relate the structure and composition of the cell membrane to its function.
 Explain transport mechanisms in cells (diffusion osmosis, facilitated transport, active
transport).
 Differentiate exocytosis and endocytosis

 Characterized the structural components of the cell membrane

 Differentiate the term passive, active and bulk transport
 Explain various transport mechanisms on how substances across the cell membrane
 Assess the importance of water potential in the cells of living organisms
 Differentiate solutions with different water potentials
