    Ted Barlow observed 10 tow dispatches over 6 hours to determine how long it took tow trucks to arrive from dispatch. He recorded the starting location, time to leave, time to arrive, and total elapsed time for each dispatch. On average, it took 4 minutes to leave the office after dispatch and 12 minutes to arrive at the location, for a total average elapsed time of 16 minutes. One dispatch was not completed because the tow truck did not arrive when needed.
