How to request TADS dataset by route in Navi-Planner 4000

1. Start Navi-Planner from the Transas Integrator.

Before dataset is going to be requested it is needed to have the latest catalog loaded
NOTE: in Navi-Planner. For this please follow the steps given in the How to order TADS or TX-
97 catalogue in Navi-Planner Instruction.

2. Click on the “Charts” and press on the “Chart Catalogue” button.

3. From the Current catalogue field load the TADS catalog


4. Having loaded the catalog Navi-Planner will show all the catalog charts
boundaries on chart panel

5. From the “Chart Selection” group press the “Select” button:


6. From the menu appeared choose the “by route” menu item:

7. From the appeared sub-menu, select a route

8. Navi-Planner will show the selected charts by red. In the down right-hand part
of the display there is a basket of all the selected by route charts.
9. From the “Request for Data” group click “Data Set”.

10. On the appeared “Request” window make sure “TADS” checkbox is selected
and press “Next >>” button:
11. Choose the way you would like to send a request:

Save to Disk
1. Choose the “Save to Disk” option and enter the e-mail address to which you
want to receive the answer from Server. Click “Finish” button.
2. On your USB stick it is necessary to create two folders: NPL_inbox and
NPL_outbox.
3. From the “Select folder…” window browse your USB stick, the “NPL_outbox”
folder. Press “OK”. The request will be saved in here.

4. The confirmation window will appear. For sending the request it is needed to
follow the given instructions. Click “Ok” button.
5. In a short while our server will revert to you with the dataset. When the reply is
received save all attachments to your USB stick, in to the NPL_inbox folder.
6. Go to Charts, Install tab.

7. Inside the Scan group click “Browse” button and browse NPL_inbox folder from
your USB stick. Click “Go” button.
8. Press the “Install selected items” button.

9. “Navi-Planner Report” window will open up, read it and click “Close” button.
10. In a couple of minutes the “Source scan completed” window will appear. Click
“Install selected items”.

11. Navi-Planner will show you the report of the performed operations. Read it and
Click “Close” button.

12. Here you go, the dataset has been successfully installed.

Send the request

1. Choose the “Send request” and click on the “Finish” button.


2. In a short while our server will revert to you with the latest dataset.
3. On receipt, Navi-Planner will automatically display the “Source scan
completed” window.
4. Click “Install selected items” button.

5. Navi-Planner will show you the report of the completed operations.


Click on the “Close” button.

6. Here you go, the dataset has been successfully installed.
