II.PROGRAM BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE

Test construction pertains to preparation of test and item analysis and selection of
reliable and valid item to assess the learning process, whereas the test standardization
deals with the development of norms. Designing tests is an important part of assessing
students understanding of course content and their level of competency in applying what
they are learning. Under the rational/theoretical approach to test construction, the
process both begins and ends with informed judgements based on theory. Teachers
prepare test such as summative test, unit test and periodic test.
Orientation in teaching strategies that enhance learner achievement in literacy
and numeracy skills.

III.PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This day learning activity will be done face – to – face in very comfortable venue,
one of the classrooms in Carlosa Elementary School which is spacious and well-
ventilated. The methods to be used are discussion and sharing of slide decks via MS
applications. The participants will listen and collaborate with the facilitator and with
the co-participants.
With this kind of activity, the participants will be oriented and will be upskilled
in test construction with TOS and can prepare valid and realistic artifacts with regards
to School-Based Management
IV. TARGET PARTICIPANTS DESCRIPTION

The 8 participants will be composed of the School Head (1), Kindergarten to Grade 3
teachers (4), Grades 4 to 6 teachers (3).

VII. WORKPLACE APPLICATION PROJECT

With the competencies gained from this seminar, upskilled teachers will be
equipped in inculcating a culture of excellence in delivery of quality, accessible, relevant
and liberating basic education for the Filipino learners.

For the effective implementation of this seminar, the session matrix including topics,
persons involved and the time frame to be used is presented in Attachment A.
