PROFESSIONAL REFLECTION ON THE APPLICATION OF A LEARNING-CENTERED TEACHING

PHILOSOPHY IN THE LESSON PLAN OR COMMUNITY WORK
QUARTER 3

Name: ALVIK A. TANUDRA

Position/Designation: TEACHER I
Insights/Key Take Away/Learning
All learners do not have the exact learning needs. Some may like to
understand the basics of a concept, while some may like to understand a course in
detail. Also, some learners may already know about a topic, whereas some will be
entirely new to the concept.
A learner-centered approach addresses all the essential needs of learners,
ensuring learners get a personalized and convenient Learning experience. Some
learners prefer games and exercises, so activities should be more interactive. Due to
the minute attention paid to learner’s needs, learner-centered ensures greater
participation in Learning.
Learner-centered Learning has many real-life examples, including games, quizzes,
and challenges. Applying this to the lesson plan approach develops problem-
solving skills, functional when learners encounter similar problems at work.

The learner-centered approach enables my student to learn collaboratively

learning. Group exercises make learners come together to solve problems, thereby
sharing Learning. This approach not only encourages collaboration but also fosters
teamwork.

Honestly, this approach consumes my time since materials must be prepared and
carefully crafted for every learner, but my students improve problem-solving skills.
