Problem statement

How might we make the design of the home screen visually appealing and user-friendly?

The Product
We at froker are working towards building the world’s first social food delivery platform. Our
vision is to provide a platform that solves issues with the current food delivery ecosystem.
We offer:
• To take 0% percent commission from restaurants
• Completely new approach towards food delivery experience that prioritizes the customer
• A monetization platform for foodies {via:Linkedin}

Scope
You need to design a visually appealing and user-friendly design of the home screen
Research
To get at an efficient solution, I started with some research to understand my users better
and their pains.

I conducted competition analysis in order to gain insight into the strengths and
weaknesses of zomato’s competitors.
After doing that I found out none of tha apps have a way which would help the user in
spitting costs effectively and or any way to group order efficiently

2. Who are your key competitors?

Our key competitors are (1) zomato, an Indian multinational restaurant aggregator and food delivery company, (2) swiggy - an
Indian online food ordering and delivery platform, that also delivers food from different apps. zomato and swiggy are direct
competitors because they are food delivery app.
3. What are the type and quality of competitors’ products?

zomato has a well-designed app that communicates that it is a brand famous for delivering food to the doorstep. It pays great attention
to details however they don't have a dedicated cart page.

swiggy has a nicely designed app that delivers food, groceries and pick and drop service. swiggy one major drawback though is the lack
of accessibility features.

4. How do competitors position themselves in the market?

zomato positions itself as a food delivery app, which delivers food on time.

swiggy positions itself as a food delivery app as well as a grocery and pic and drop service.

5. How do competitors talk about themselves?

zomato markets itself as the fastest food delivery app in the age group of 18 to 35. They market themselves as the coolest food
delivery app.

swiggy markets itself as the fastest delivery app, grocery delivery app also pick and drop service. They are targeting all age groups
users with their different different types of services.
6. Competitors’ strengthss?

Zomato:
Good visual design that communicates the company’s culture
Swiggy:
Clean and organised design
Outstanding order and payment process
Great customer support

7. Competitors’ weaknesses

Weakness identified for zomato and swiggy:


1. Unlimited browsing
2. No personalization
3. No specific cart option for the users
