Aksiyon Kalinisan
(A Clean-up Drive Initiative of YES-O)

The Malobago Elementary School YES-O Officers initiated a clean-up drive activity entitled AKSIYON KALIKASAN,
This was a 1-day activity which aims to promote proper solid waste management in the school and community and to
encourage community to support the Zero Waste agenda through emulation & sustainability of the project.

The activity was conducted on October 12, 2018 with the direct supervision of the School YES-O coordinator,
Ma’am Joanna L. Ostria and the School Head Ma’am Mila A. Alaurin, it was also participated by the Class Officers of Each
grade level and all teachers. The activity started after the flag ceremony, there was an short briefing conducted and
safety reminders was given to the pupils.

After two hours of cleaning, the organization was able to clean the School Grounds and the surrounding of the
Chapel; weeds were removed, waste materials were properly segregated, some materials that can still be used/sell were
put into material recovery facility for proper disposal, also signage were put to give reminders to the pupils and
community the importance of waste management. The activity initiated by YES-O officers was a success through the
help of the teachers and school head, as well as the community
