If you know that you will not be returning to Munn’s in September, please let the
office know at 905-844-9461 or volpattij@hdsb.ca ASAP. This information is
extremely helpful when building classes for the coming school year.

School Bell Times Sept. 2023

Please note the bell times for next year will remain the same at 8:50 am - 3:10 pm..

Busing is administered by Halton Student Transportation Services (HSTS), which provides

shared busing for the Halton District School Board and Halton Catholic District School Board.
Reminder that all bussing times and routes for September 2023 will be updated and
shared with families in August.
Volunteers

This year we were able to do a full array of extra-curricular activities

and field trips. Thank you to all the parents who were able to
volunteer and support our school. A special thank you to our School
Council members who worked so hard to offer a range of activities for
families at the school, including Movie Nights and a STEM Night. In
addition, the Staff Appreciation meals and organizing a fun-filled Neon Spring Fling
Dance/Fundraiser was a huge success! Your continued support is so greatly appreciated!

Police Checks

If you want to volunteer at Munn’s and don’t have a Police Check on file with the school, now
is a good time to apply. Halton Police Application Once September is here, there is a high
demand and may take longer than expected to receive from HRPS. Once you receive it, you
must bring in the ORIGINAL copy to the office for verification and have a copy on file. Also,
there is a way to send it via email with password protection. Be sure to have the Vulnerable
Sector Screening included. Contact the office if you have any questions.Halton Regional

Outstanding School Bus Driver Contest

This year HSTS is launching a year-end “Outstanding School Bus Driver” contest in an
effort to recognize the dedication of those drivers who go above and beyond to serve the
students of Halton. We kindly request schools share this form link with their parent
communities to help solicit feedback, if at all possible.. We are also encouraging school staff
to complete the form if they have an Outstanding Driver they would like to nominate.

Nominate an “Outstanding School Bus Driver” today by completing this brief nomination
form. Submissions are due by Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

School Council
Thank you to our School Council this year for offering so many events this year that
supported parent engagement and community building and students. The fundraising efforts
also supported the completion of the Outdoor Calming Learning Space. What a great year!
We encourage you to join our School Council next year.

Lost and Found Items

We have a number of clothing items, water bottles, hats, etc. in our Lost and Found. Please
encourage your children to look through the items. Having name labels makes returning lost
items much easier. All unclaimed items will be given to charity next Thursday.

Report Cards
Any Report Cards that are not taken home by students today will be brought to the office.
For those who are absent, but will be at school on Monday, they can take them home then.
If students are absent for the remainder of the year, the Report Cards will be available for
pick up in the office Tuesday, July 4TH from 8:00-3:00 or during the last week of August.
