‘Mr. Ahmed is a 40 year old man was an amateur long distance runner. He has
participated in a 90 km marathon competition (started at 7 a.m in Kuala Lumpur).
In the middle of the run, he has suffered severe fatigue and end up with fainting. After
being treated with paramedics, he has been identified with severe dehydration and
was suspected of experiencing heat stroke’

2. a. Explain the energy system used by his body throughout the running.

b. Explain four (4) body physiological changes that happen to Mr. Ahmed until he
get severe fatigue and heat stroke.
