    Lesson 2 Activity 1

    1. How important was the creation of ASEAN Economic Community? Give one (1) some
    situation where it plays an important role. Limit answer to 10 sentences only.
    The ASEAN Economic Community or the AEC is one among the three pillars
    of the ASEAN which is said to be most crucial necessary for the progress and
    evolution of the ASEAN and its people.
    The AEC focus on the economic integration. This enable these countries in
    ASEAN community to provide support in sustaining high economic development. That
    is by means of: trading of goods, services, investment, and labor: investments such as
    free flow of capital, and job opportunities. These greater economic opportunities
    support poverty eradication. The AEC commitment will accelerate the regional
    integration in the priority sectors; facilitating movement of business persons, skilled
    labor and talents; and strengthening the institutional mechanisms of ASEAN.
    Here in the Philippines one of the example I could think of where AEC takes
    place is during the import and export of our resources here.
