Ta sử dụng So sánh hơn để so sánh giữa người (hoặc vật) này với người (hoặc vật)
khác.
 Cấu trúc
Tính từ/ trạng từ ngắn:
S + V + adj + er + than + Noun/ Pronoun

Tính từ/ trạng từ dài:

S + V + more + adj + than + Noun/ Pronoun
Ex: China is bigger than India.
Gold is more valuable than silver.
II. So sánh hơn nhất
Ta sử dụng So sánh hơn nhất để so sánh người (hoặc vật) với tất cả người (hoặc vật)
trong nhóm.
 Cấu trúc
Tính từ/ trạng từ ngắn:
S + V + the + adj + est + Noun/ Pronoun

Tính từ/ trạng từ dài:

S + V + the most + adj + Noun/ Pronoun
Ex: Russia is the biggest country.
Lan is the most beautiful girl in her class.
III. Tính từ ngắn và dài
1. Tính từ ngắn
- Tính từ có một âm tiết
Ví dụ: short, thin, big, smart

- Tính từ có hai âm tiết nhưng kết thúc bằng –y, –le,–ow, –er, và –et

Ví dụ: happy, gentle, narrow, clever, quiet
2. Tính từ dài
- Các tính từ hai âm tiết không kết thúc bằng những đuôi nêu trong phần tính từ
ngắn
Ví dụ: perfect, childish, nervous

- Các tính từ có từ ba âm tiết trở lên

Ví dụ: beautiful (ba âm tiết), intelligent (bốn âm tiết), satisfactory (năm âm tiết)

3. Quy tắc thêm –er và –est vào sau Tính Từ Ngắn trong SS hơn & SS hơn
nhất

IV. So sánh kép
Có 2 loại so sánh kép
 Càng ngày càng:

S + V + tính từ ngắn_“er” + and + tính từ ngắn_“er”

S + V + more and more + tính từ dài

Ví dụ: The weather gets colder and colder.

She gets more and more beautiful.
 Càng … thì càng …:

The + So sánh hơn + S + V + The + So sánh hơn + S + V

Ví dụ: The harder you study, the better your exam results.

The more careful you are, the less mistakes you make.
