Quick & Easy Towel Topper

Topper measures approximately
5 ½ x 5 ½ inches square with a 1 ½ x 5 ¾
inch hanging strap.
Red Heart Super Saver 4-ply 100% Acrylic
worsted weight yarn. Art. E300
1 ounce color of choice
Sewing needle
Matching sewing thread
1 Matching button approx. ½ - 1 inches
1 Kitchen dish towel
Crochet Hook: 6 mm [US J-10].
GAUGE: First 3 rnds = 4 inches in
diameter. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use
any size hook to obtain the gauge.
Towel Topper
With size J-10 hook and color of choice, ch
4, slip st together to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 3(first dc), 2 dc in ring, ch 2, [3
dc in ring, ch 2] 3 times, join with sl st to top
of beg ch 3.

Rnds 3 & 4: Ch 3 (first dc), [dc in each dc

FASTEN OFF.
HANGING STRAP
Row 1 (Right side): Sl st across to next
corner ch-2 sp, ch 3 (first dc), (2 dc, ch 2, 3
dc) in same corner ch-2 sp, turn.
Rows 2-5: Sl st across to ch-2 sp of shell,
ch 3 (first dc), (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same ch-
2 sp of shell. End of Row 5, fasten off,
weave in ends.
FINISHING (Please watch youtube video
for sewing on topper as you must sew on
left side of center in edge of stitches)
Fold hand towel in half press with iron or
hand press, sew sewing thread through towel
at fold, pulling threads at each side of towel
to gather.
Fold Towel Topper from corner to corner to
form triangle with hanging strap at top.
Gather towel to fit fold of Towel Topper and
sew in place. You must sew on the left side
edge of center edge of stitches.
Sew button to opposite corner on front.
Button to secure.
