PROJECT CONTACTS
Problem Statement:
Trees and plants play a crucial role in our planet's future. They contribute to global warming mitigation by
reabsorbing millions of tons of carbon per year. They also provide shade, block cold winds, attract birds and wildlife,
clean our water, purify our air, prevent soil erosion, and add grace and beauty to our schools and communities.
Be able to prevent species extinction due to natural and man- made influences through focusing on rehabilitation
of a sustainable school garden.
To sustain environmental consciousness and action among parents and learners and the community, instilling the
values of unity, teamwork, and sense of volunteerism through tree planting.
To highlight the importance of Banyaga National High School in the efforts to rehabilitate a heavily challenged
natural environment.
Root Cause:
Possible extinction of some plants and tree species due to poor soil nourishment brought by volcanic eruption and
threat from high SO2 emmittance.
